Throwing colors...

I've been thinking about my latest running goals and figured I write it down and throw some colors on it. It was a lot of fun and very relaxing. Maybe I'll start running next week...

Running...

I ran a little less than 7 miles today, trying to get in shape for the Monster Dash 1/2 marathon I'll run in Chicago on Oct. 31st. I've been a runner for years. My wife thinks I'm crazy, but it's always been the best way for me to relax from the stresses of life.

Bib #352

A possible idea for a screen print on a t-shirt. This printmaking class, I'm taking with my wife, is forcing me to get better with photoshop. Can't say I did this all on my own because my wife has had to help me with a few things, but most of it was me.

Water colored an old drawing.

Running...

Sometimes people look really weird when they run. This is just some random photo I found on the web.

Bum knee...

Not sure if you can see the splatters, but they were fun.

Watercolor...

An old drawing I finally watercolored.

Another old drawing I finally got around to watercoloring. Red on the cheeks ended up being a bit much.

Worked a little more on yesterday's drawing.

Running: Part One...

Sorry it's such a light scan. I haven't figure out how to get my red lead to show up looking nice with the scanner. If anybody knows some nice trips pass them along.

I could have finished this tonight, but decided I wanted it to look nice in the end. Imagine that!

This is the start of a few images I'll do about me getting ready to run. Prepping to run always starts with the same routine.

Visions of sleep...

I ran a marathon today. I took a shower afterwards and put my face under the hot water. When I closed my eyes, this is what I saw. My wife, the bee, was carrying clouds to me. I wanted to sleep on one of those clouds. I took it as a sign to go take a nap.

Winged disk part III...

It took a lot of time and some tedious work, but it's done and I don't think it looks too bad. We'll see how it wears tomorrow during the race.

Winged disk...

The near finished product. Next I'll put in on the shirt. I've never done it before, but Amanda helped me load my original sketch onto "Illustrator" and edit it. I like the look.

Winged disk...

Early, unfinished idea for a design on the back of my running shirt. It is an homage to my wife who watches over me during my races. It is losely based off the Egyptian symbol of the winged disk and the letter of her name will fit inside the circle of the bird. I'll post the final version later once I decide on the look I like.
